I currently promote 10 different companies with various opportunities.  I believe in diversification and also being able to show people things that will suite their style and fulfill their needs.

1.) Real Estate 1 

Existing Rental Income Properties

The Real Estate I like is not the kind that you have to go out and buy, fix and flip, or rent out yourself type.  It is an arm chair investment that lets someone else do all that for you while you sit back and collect cash quarterly and when they sell, you share in the upside of the investment in a very tax friendly way.  It isn’t in single family homes, it is in the multi-family residential properties.  Gated communities that are rental properties.  You are buying buildings that have cash flow, not land with no cash flow.  Security is very good as you have a asset (building and land) and due to the recession in the US, these are greatly undervalued and bought at deep discounts. 

a.)  One company I really love in particular is Jaymor.  They have a 20 year history and are experts in this industry.  They have a expert team of property manager throughout the US and a system for success.  They have two different offers that are very unique.  One is a corporate bond that cash flows quarterly and then has shares to participate in the capital appreciation.  The other is a fund that has flow through tax deductions equivalent to up to 100%  of your original investment allowing you to minimize your taxes, plus they have positive net cash flow from rental income and property appreciation over time.

b.)  Winchester is what they call a TARE Tax Advantaged Real Estate.  It is an innovative form of real estate investing that combines large tax savings features.  You can leverage your tax dollars to purchase solid cash flowing real estate properties allowing you to build equity in hard assets

2.) Real Estate 2

Land bank Development

This is where you invest into a company that has land in the path way of growth of a town or city that is expanding. Unlike land banking (Walton International) where you hold it for a while then it is sold to a developer, this takes it through the upward curve of value by rezoning, subdividing and building on the property. It is an investment that is structured similarly like what your bank does with home buyers. The bank lends you money (an investment for them) for a return of interest. If you default they have your asset (your home) that secures their investment in their loan of money to you. In this investment, you are like the bank. You pool your money with other investors that lend the land developer up to 75% of the land value as your investment. If they default on your payment then you have their asset -the land.  They rezone, subdivide, build in phases, and sell in phases, and you have a 5 year exit strategy on your investment with the potential for an excellent upside in the process. Your investment is in the form of a bond, secured against the property for a fixed rate of return, for a fixed time frame.  This would be an asset backed investment as the land and buildings are your asset. 

Never in history has land ever gone to zero and as we know, most fortunes have been made through real estate. This is an excellent arm chair investment in real estate that is not the buy, fix and sell or rent and hold – hope that prices still go up move… It is very solid if done through an established reputable experienced company.

There are several good ones out there, but I prefer Foundation Capital as they have a 15 year history as part of the Harvest group of companies and an impeccable track record.

2.) Oil and Gas

We all know that the era of cheap oil is over. We should feel very proud to be a Canadian, with so many opportunities. Investing in Canadian Oil and Gas Companies that have a strong management team behind them, and are well positioned in the industry, showing cash flow monthly, is an excellent complement to any one’s portfolio!

I offer Several Oil and Gas companies as I feel strongly about the growth and stability in this sector.

a.)  Rogers Oil and Gas bought into production when they started their investment company.  Since October of 2009, they have been paying out 1% per month plus production bonus.  Their clients are getting a two cheques every month, the direct deposit of the 1% on the 1st of every  month and production bonuses on the 15th!  They have a 3 year 12% debenture I just love.  They are partnered with an operation company that is debt free with land holding right in the heart of the biggest oil booms in Canada, the Bakken.  They are right next to Crescent Point and Petro Bakken some of the big boys.  They are doing great things and are definitely going in the right direction.

b.)  Foundation Resources is a division of the Harvest Group of companies and same principles as Foundation Capital.  I love this company.  They are naturals at finding excellent opportunities for their investors.  They have over 1200 investors that have never lost a dime and great management skills.  They seized the opportunities in their back yard when oil and gas prices dropped and junior company were being taken over by banks and screaming for financial partners.    They have developed several sweet little plays that cash flow quarterly and gives the investor the ability to participate in capital appreciation.  It is pretty liquid as well which is one of the things I really like about it.

c.)  Katana Oil and Gas have created a unique fund that diversifies your portfolio inside their fund. They currently have 4 world class investments that are very promising. They have monthly cash flow off of 3 of them and investors can expecting healthy returns based on their objectives and expertise.

3.)  Forex

Although it might be very difficult to trade yourself and most people that do attempt to do this lose their money, I have found a company that allow you to open up your own account in a bank in Switzerland, that is also a brokerage house. There is no middle man that is taking your money, you are always in control. You can see your account daily and take money out any time you want so the liquidity is excellent. You give the power of Attorney over to an experience trader that uses a computer program to trade (takes out the emotion and is able to recognize things that only the best can) and then you do a profit share with him on your growth. They have a high water mark, so if you don’t make money, they don’t get paid, if you lose money, they need to get it all back and then make a profit before they get paid. It is considered higher risk and definitely not for everyone, but for accredited investors, it is a nice diversification of capital that one may afford higher returns with risk management.  As a Past FX trader, I like this one!

4.) Home Based Business
